Job responsibility:

• Provide the Linux System Administration function for the Business Critical Servers.
• Provide support on the Virtual Linux VMs running on the ESX 5.5 environment..
• Provision new Linux VMs as per the standards..
• Provide the performance troubleshooting..
• Keep the Linux patches unto date..

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in the Linux system administration and VMware field..
• At least 6-8 years experience in System Administration of Linux servers (Redhat).
• Should have the Red Hat Certifications.
• Experience in troubleshooting server issues related to systems and applications such as Oracle DBs running on Linux..
• Experience with system patches. Good knowledge of Satellite server and Skywalk. – Must have one or other..
• Experience with data center servers including blade servers Cisco UCS, Dell & HP Blade.
• Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols).
• Good to have Scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Python, shell scripting.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills, result oriented and self motivated.
